Lorelei Bari

In 2012, for the most talented and gifted children I founded the Academic part of La Sylphide Ballet School. Here, the students are working in a professional system, Vaganova metod, between 5 and 12 hours per week of classical, contemporary and character dance classes.
The students are anually tested through evaluation exams with teachers from Moskow, Tbilisi, Kiev and St Petersburg.
My students obtained full scholarships to study at the Ballet Academy Kozlova in New York, Academy of Ballet of the Vienna State Opera, Dance Academy Zurich, English National Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet School, USA, Staatliche Balletschule Berlin, Basel Ballet School, Kiev Choreographic Institute, Russian Ballet College, Sorrento Campus Summer School, National Conservatory Dance School Lisbon, Portugal. Moreover, some of my students were accepted to complete their studies in the schools of the highest professional level: Bolshoi Academy, Moscow, Staatliche Balletschule, Berlin, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Danse de Marseille, Zurich Ballet Academy, Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden, Royal Ballet School Birmingham.
Also, La Sylphide Ballet Academy students through the partnership program with Ukraine Kiev State Choreographic Institute have the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized state diploma, diploma of professional ballet dancer
In 1999 I opened the ballet studio for children, La Sylphide Studio Dans, for all children who like the movement, the classical and modern dance.
Now the school has over 150 pupils.
In 2009 I opened a new studio in the North of Bucharest for the children who are not living near the center and now in this branch they are happily dancing over 100 pupils.
Every year they are preparing a dance performance and they are participating in different dance manifestations organised in Bucharest and arround.
From 1995 till 1999 I was ballet master and choreographer at Scuola di Danza ‘Kinderballet’ in Italy. I trained pupils aged from 6 to 20 years old for classical dance, contemporary dance and modern dance. The trainees were periodically tested through ballet shows that took place on the stages of the local cultural institutions. The best pupils were trained to participate in different ballet contests and festivals such as: International dance contest in Bologne, National ballet festival in Salerno, National ballet contest in Bari and National ballet festival in Fasano.
For six years, from 1987, I was ballet master and assistant choreographer of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Rijeka, Croatia.
There I put on stage various performances such as: Salomé – musical mix; Carmen (G. Bizet), The Merry Widow (F. Lehar), Snow White – musical mix, Histrian Sketches (B. Stoianvics), Giselle (A. Adam) and various choreographies for national and international dance competitions

Ms. Lorelei Bari is a dancer and teacher whose experience leads to remarkable results. Her continuous desire for improvement, for information and for assimilating the newest directions in ballet and dance
pedagogy prompted her to choose the MA module of the program offered by the Palucca Academy.
From the beginning of her career, she discovered her inclination and aptitude for teaching, which she has cultivated through a sustained activity in both the ballet companies in which he worked, and in the schools where she gave ballet classes. When she founded her own ballet school, she conceived a program and her own teaching method, through which she targeted the formation of dancers with multiple professional and well consolidated training.
Her method, which is based on the Vaganova method is tailored to the age and particularities of individual children that she trains. Her communication skills, her capacity to adapt to the mental and emotional level of her students, and her ability to stimulate their interest in dance were the main ways that she used to achieve the expected results: the recognition, through national and international awards from prestigious competitions, the opportunity for her students to obtain full scholarships in schools of the highest professional level.
The consistency with which she followed her pedagogical and artistic goals was always stimulated by a creative spirit and critical and analytical skills, which have enabled continuous improvement of her working methods.
